Kylin Welcomes New Tech Lead!
We are very pleased to announce, that after many months of searching, we have been able to find a new Tech Lead to help guide Kylin Network to our goal of becoming the Layer 1 Data Infrastructure for DeFi and Web3. Please, Kylians, give a very warm welcome to Sylvain Cormier!
We were impressed by Sylvain’s breadth of knowledge with respect to coding, his level of crypto-oriented experience, and the thoughtful way in which he approaches problems from first principles. We found it a huge asset as well that he has adeptness, comfort, and deep experience in lower level languages like C and C++, this will be an asset as he expands into and helps us innovate and build within Substrate.
Most recently, Sylvain worked at Hypotenuse as their Fullstack Blockchain Systems Developer / Staff Engineer and Viewfin as a Blockchain Systems Developer. Prior to these experiences, he spent 3 years at Volentix Labs as a Blockchain Systems Developer. Sylvain’s github can be found here.
Sylvain’s primary task will be to lead and manage our development group, and oversee two major initiatives:
- easing the deployment of OCW and further developing decentralized oracle (data feed) functionality for the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems
- and the buildout of our answer to dune.xyz for Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems, our reporting and analytics dashboards
In addition to his above duties as Tech Lead, he will also interface with the community to provide regular updates on development progress and ensure the maintenance and functioning of our parachains along with the development team.
