Kylin Weekly Update #14: Pichiu Imminent Distribution
Our $PCHU airdrop distribution remains on October 22nd, 2022. This post serves as a reminder to Kylians who are yet to prepare for the drop.
The PICHIU airdrop is designed to incentivize the holders of ERC20 KYL tokens. If you’re yet to prepare for the airdrop, visit the airdrop page and complete the process either through option 1 or 2. Learn more from the initial airdrop details announcement.

Kylin Host Workshop in 2 days
As announced sometime last week, Sylvain Cormier, Kylin’s Tech Lead, will remotely host a workshop during the Polkadot LATAM Hackathon. Other Kylin Technical team members will join him. The initial workshop theme was “NFT MetaData or IPFS Storage Layer, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be changing the topic for the workshop to “ Kylin tooling for the Federated Parachain Oracle System.”

KYL and PCHU coins are Now Available on Nova Wallet
You can now manage and monitor your Kylin assets on Nova Wallet, one of the most advanced applications in the Polkadot Ecosystem. In a recent announcement, we shared that Pichiu and Kylin have been added to the list of parachains whose assets can be managed on the application.
Shortly, as our product and mainnet launch draw closer, we’ll be releasing exciting programs and initiatives to promote the utility of both coins, now that they’re both parachains on Polkadot and Kusama, respectively.
Support for ETH-KYL Staking Challenges
We have heard some complaints from our community users that find it challenging to unstake their ETH-native KYL tokens from the Kylin staking page. Which came as a directive from the team behind Kylin to ensure community members held their ETH-KYL in non-custodial wallets, which qualifies users to receive the PCHU airdrop.
The staking program was discontinued after Kylin attained a parachain status by winning the parachain auction for slot #25. As detailed in this tweet, made by the team, after becoming a parachain, the staking program was to be paused to assess and make plans aligned with the project’s goals.
